Building Seamless Connectivity for Budapest’s Newest City Quarter

In Budapest’s emerging BudaPart district, CETIN Hungary has delivered cutting-edge network infrastructure that brings reliable mobile coverage to one of the city’s most ambitious urban developments.

The Challenge

BudaPart is Budapest’s newest city quarter — a vibrant urban space combining residential buildings, offices, retail areas, shared community spaces, and a hotel. By 2030, an estimated 25,000–30,000 people will live and work here.

As both residents and businesses expect seamless connectivity, ensuring comprehensive mobile coverage from the very beginning of development was essential. The developer recognised this early and set out to create a mobile-operator-independent solution capable of supporting multiple providers and future growth.

The CETIN Solution

Having a proven track record in large-scale network deployments, CETIN Hungary Zrt. was selected to design and deliver a modern, high-capacity infrastructure for BudaPart.

In the first phase of the project, CETIN Hungary implemented a multi-operator Distributed Antenna System (DAS) combined with a Macro system that enables all major Hungarian telecommunications operators to connect seamlessly.

This solution ensures:

  • Reliable outdoor and indoor coverage for residents, businesses, and visitors
  • Consistent service quality across offices, shops, communal spaces, and hotels
  • Future scalability to meet growing data demands as the district expands

By establishing a single-point solution for multiple stakeholders, CETIN Hungary simplified operations, coordination, and long-term maintenance across the entire development.

The Impact

The deployment guarantees that every corner of BudaPart enjoys stable, high-quality mobile connectivity — a key requirement for both daily life and business activities in a modern urban environment.

The project demonstrates the value of early-stage infrastructure planning, as well as close coordination among developers, architects, and network engineers. Integrating telecommunications design alongside construction planning proved essential to achieving seamless execution and end-user satisfaction.

Lessons Learned

CETIN Hungary’s experience at BudaPart confirms that strategic collaboration and integrated design are critical for next-generation urban projects. Through thoughtful planning and technical excellence, CETIN helped create a connected, future-ready city quarter — supporting both quality of life and long-term value creation.
